Spring Sun Dress

Here's a quick spring dress I sewed this week:
The lime green gingham is embroidered with pink butterflies. The pattern is McCalls #5615. I liked this pattern. The directions were easy to follow and the gathered bodice and waistband turned out really great. They add a lot of interest and detail. I made the dress a size 3 width and size 6 length and if I make this pattern again, I would add 3-4 more inches to the skirt. It barely hits her knees even with the size six length.
Total cost?
Pattern-$1 on sale at Joann's
Fabric-$1 at a yard sale
Elastic-maybe 10 cents?
A pretty cute dress for $2.10!

  1. way cute but I need a girl ha ha and I am definitely going to try the cheese rolls sometime. You know me, I LOVE cheese, and I love to bake bread and's a win win for me!

  2. Hey Jennifer I would really love to be added to you list in your family blog. I love keeping up with how your family is doing.

  3. That is so so cute! I love that it is so fugal too.

  4. I need Sadie's measurements so I can crochet her a dress.
    *neck to waist
*waist to knee (exact - not where you want the length because I'll fix that)
    *shoulder to elbow

She is in such great need of a new dress!?! (hee, hee, hee)
