Cute Kitchen Towels That Won't Fall Down

With little ones around, it seems that our kitchen towels are always on the floor. So when I saw THIS TUTORIAL from Pin.Sew.Press, I fell in love. What a cute solution! I made these as a gift, but I definitely need some for my kitchen next!

I got my towels from WalMart. They are really soft. A two-pack was about $3.50. The only other supplies needed are two yards of ribbon per towel and two strips of fabric about 3 inches tall and the width of the towel. Yay for no more towels puddled on the floor below the oven!

Hmm... I may need to do this in the bathroom too...

  1. Just found your blog. I love it! I'm very new to sewing and crafting and such. I just learned how to sew this past summer. I love this idea for no towels on the floor, but I don't understand it. How did you make this towel? I have an 18-month-old, but even before she came along we couldn't keep the towels on the stove! :)

  2. Ok... Never mind! Just saw the tutorial link.

    You rock!

  3. I can't find the tutorial Link to these towels, Ive clicked on every thing possible, but only get pages of lots of other projects but no towels Help!! I'd really like to make these.

    1. The link is at the very beginning of this post:

"With little ones around, it seems that our kitchen towels are always on the floor. So when I saw this tutorial from Pin.Sew.Press, I fell in love."

If you click on the words "THIS TUTORIAL" it will take you to the tutorial I used.

  4. I have made this countless times for myself and gifts and they are always a huge hit. I skip the additional fabric on the bottom, even though it's cute that way. Looks like you did too. :) I get the bar mops from Target and they work well too.

    1. I've made this many times too! A perfect gift idea!
