I told you I have been baking up a storm since the cold weather hit. Here’s another recipe that was so delicious I had to share. I whipped up a batch to take over to my neighbor as a thank you. And it’s a good thing too…they were so yummy I wanted to eat them all!
Melt butter in microwave. Combine dry ingredients. Add butter and mix until crumbly. Press half of the mixture into a greased 8×8 baking pan. Spread the jam evenly over the crust, then press the remaining mix on top. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes, until golden brown on top. Cut into squares, cool and serve.
I was thinking that apple butter would be delicious in place of the jam. Then they would be like apple crisp bars! Mmmm….
