Welcome to Pinterest Tested! Ever wonder if that miracle cleaner is really miraculous? Or what about that homemade facial cleanser or delicious-looking recipe? This is the place to find out! Each Monday I am testing Pins that catch my eye to see if they really live up to the claims made on Pinterest. It’s like the Mythbusters of Domesticity!
I was in a pretty bad food rut recently. It seemed like we were having the same boring dinners over and over. So I turned to Pinterest to help me spice things up. I thought I’d share some of the things I tried…what bombed and what was a success.
So here’s how I will rate them:
1 Star: Inedible
2 Stars: Disappointing.
3 Stars: Mediocre. Just okay. Nothing to write home about.
4 Stars: Pretty good. I’d probably make it again…eventually.
5 Stars: Winner! This recipe has earned a place in our regular rotation!
You can follow the links in the recipe title to see the actual recipes. All pictures are from the original sights the recipes came from…I just didn’t take pictures and the food is obviously long gone now.

Oh. My. I have never eaten deep fried pickles before, but this oven-baked version was to die for. I ate the whole batch myself…oh, yes I did. I do love pickles, though. 5 stars!

I am so going to have to make the mac n cheese 😀 I love the secret ingredient! I am so sad that the potatoes didn't get a good review, the pictures look yummy. I am glad to hear about the pickles, I have never had fried either, but would love to try baked!

My mom used to work at "The Happy Halibut and the Perky Pickle." True story. 🙂 She made us battered deep fried pickles all the time… and basically right now my mouth is watering at the thought! Love your blog!
