Cozying Up The Fireplace with a Chalkboard

Our new home has a fireplace. But after putting up our little Charlie Brown family tree (my favorite!), it was looking a little post-Grinch down there, if you know what I mean.

I had grand visions of how I would decorate the fireplace for Christmas.

Yeah, it's not happening this year. There's just too much going on and I have to choose where to spend my energy.

But I did see THIS photo and came up with a simple plan to make the fireplace a little more cozy:

I used my big, trash-to-treasure chalkboard and made a fire for the fireplace!

A little less Grinchy, don't you think? Now I just need to hang stockings and I'm done. For this year, anyway.
