DIY Polka Dot Planter From The Dollar Store

Today I'm sharing a quick and easy project I made to spice up a plain hanging planter from Dollar Tree.

Our new home has a balcony off of the master bedroom. It's on the front of the house. This is what it looked like in the Fall:

The two posts already had hooks on them for hanging planters, so when I saw these plain gray hanging planters at Dollar Tree, I bought two for the balcony.

The only problem was they were a little plain. So I used my Silhouette to cut a bunch of circles out of sticker paper.

Then I stuck the dots all over the planter, on the sides...

...and on the bottom, since that's mainly what you'll see from ground level:

It's just a little change, but it sure turned these dollar store planters into something adorable!

Since we had a huge snowstorm yesterday and the day before, I think I'll wait to plant flowers until I'm sure they won't freeze. Can someone please tell the weather that it's spring already!

Have you had any good dollar store finds lately?
