Since it was a struggle to come up with gift ideas, I turned to BabyCubby.com. Baby Cubby is an awesome online store that does all of the research for you. Their team is made up of actual parents who understand how hard it is to choose a stroller when there are a million strollers to choose from. They read through all of the reviews on every product they sell so that you don’t have to! They also price-match (including Amazon) so you know you’re getting a great deal.
Here are some of the gifts I’ve picked out for my three year old daughter.
Bath Toys. My daughter could spend hours in the tub. She loves to pour water and the tub is the least messy place for her to pour to her heart’s content. I can’t wait to give her these fun bath pipes and cogs. I think I’ll package them up with some bubble bath and it will be a winning gift.
Boon Cogs Bath Toy $9.99 |
Boon Pipes Bath Toy $4.99 |
Backpack. My daughter watches her older siblings to go school every day and she is super jealous. I know she will be thrilled to have a backpack of her own, even if she doesn’t need one. I can just picture her filling it with books or stuffed animals and hauling it all around the house. Plus, how cute is this hedgehog?!
Skip Hop Zoo Little Kids Hedgehog Backpack $19.99 |
Umbrella. My three year old daughter is going to have so much fun with this umbrella. I can just picture her twirling around outside every time it rains (or snows) just so she can open this cute bumblebee!
Skip Hop Zoobrella Bee $15.00 |
Books. My daughter loves books and I love that these BabyLit books are based on great works of literature. They include titles like Moby Dick, Jane Eyre and Pride And Prejudice. The pictures and words are simple and age-appropriate (in fact, I think they are really geared towards babies), but I’m going to have fun reading them to her and thinking about the grown-up versions.
BabyLit The Secret Garden Board Book $9.99 |
Purse. Does it seem redundant that I’m getting my daughter a backpack and a purse? Well, I just couldn’t resist this cute Riding Hood bag and I think she will have so much fun putting her little princess toys inside.
Lily and Mom Riding Hood Purse 9.98 |
Accessories. I adore this little deer hat. So, so cute! My daughter would love any fun accessories like hair bows, bracelets, hats, or scarves. She also has a pair of pink cowgirl boots that light up and they are her favorite shoes ever. I like to tuck smaller accessories into her stocking on Christmas morning.
Blueberry Hill Hartley Deer Hat with Bow $28.00 |
It feels really good to be able to check one kid off my Christmas shopping list, although I’ve been thinking she might need one more thing. Do you have any tried-and-true gift ideas for a three year old girl? What did your little girls love to play with? I’d love to hear!
In exchange for this post, I was given a gift card to BabyCubby.com. I love their business model, their products and their customer service. I chose the products I mentioned and will actually be giving them to my daughter for Christmas. All opinions are my own.

One thing that my kids (of both genders) really loved when they were little was getting a roll of their own scotch tape. That way they could waste as much as they wanted as long as it didn't end up on stuff it wasn't supposed to. Other gifts that went over surprisingly well were a box of envelopes, some stickers that looked like stamps and a small, lined notepad (one of those 5×7 ones.) These items are all inexpensive and my kids really liked having their own stash of 'stationery.'

I LOVE your ideas! One year I gave my kids each a ream of white copy paper. They were in heaven! I think I'll add tape to their stockings this year. How fun!
