I am not a morning person. My husband likes to wake me up with a cheery, “Good morning!” My usual response is, “What’s so good about it?!”
But as my business has grown and my life is getting more complicated, I’ve found that getting up early is a necessity. I need the extra time to be productive if I’m going to squeeze the most out of every day.
So I’ve learned to cope.
After the crazy rush to get kids on the bus, I settle down in my favorite chair with a cup of hot chocolate or hot apple cider (I don’t drink coffee or tea) and I use the time to center myself, write out my to-do lists, and think positive thoughts.
And guess what? I like mornings a lot better now!
Today I’m going to share my absolute favorite warm morning drink with you… caramel apple cider.
It couldn’t be easier to make, which is important. Remember how I said I’m not a morning person? But it is truly a gourmet luxury and such a decadent way to start the day off on the right foot!
To make this amazing caramel apple cider, you will need:
It couldn’t be easier. Just heat up the apple cider in the microwave, add the syrup, then sprinkle it with a dash of cinnamon.
If you want to get really fancy, add a dollop of fresh whipped cream.
And that’s all it takes to whip up a luxurious café-style drink at home!
