My sister called me today and said, "I have a few questions for you since you are the thriftiest person I know. What do you do to save money on groceries?" She then told me that she checked my blog and there were no tips. Well, Sis...this one's for you. Here's how groceries work at our house.1. Plan...
Here are some of what was in my pile of half-finished scrapbooking pages...and they are now FINISHED! Hurray!
I love Halloween. To me, it's a holiday that is just about having fun. I love dressing up, going Trick-or-Treating, having parties, and most of all eating candy! I'm sewing costumes for our family this year (which I haven't started yet...yikes!) so stay tuned for those. But in the mean time, here are some cute little monster...
It's been way too long since I scrapbooked. I made an 8x8 album for my sister's baby shower this summer (which I totally forgot to photograph), and that's the last time I've done anything. That may be a personal record for me! I guess I just lost my mojo. But it's back! I pulled out a pile of...

I just added some leftover fabric from a man's button down shirt to the bottom edge. I even left the buttons! These are the best spit...

Salt Water Taffy

I have always been intimidated by the thought of making homemade candy. It seems like a very technical endeavor...candy thermometers, specific temperatures and stirring times...I don't do well with details like that! But yesterday I was cleaning out the pantry and found a bottle of corn syrup. Since my hospital bag is packed, the house is clean...

Hairbows

Ta-dah! Hairbows! Because I am expecting a baby literally any day now, I don't want to start any big projects (mostly because I don't want to have a messy craft table when my mom comes). So I decided to do a little project instead, and made some new hair bows for my daughter. There's a whole variety here....

Twins!

Tonight I'm going to a baby shower for a friend who just had twins--a boy and a girl. I made these little shoes for them. I just can't get over how sweet it is to have one set pink and one set blue. And if you think the shoes are sweet, the babies are even sweeter. Congratulations...
