Creamy Jalapeno Corn in the Slow Cooker

Hi friends! I’ve got a super simple recipe for you today. With Labor Day just around the corner, we’re just about at the end of backyard cookout season. When Wayfair challenged us to share a favorite BBQ side dish, I immediately thought of this creamy corn recipe that my friend Dawn makes for every neighborhood get-together.
This recipe is the perfect blend of sweet corn, rich creamy sauce and spicy jalapenos. And it is so easy to make because you just throw everything in the crock pot!

Creamy Jalapeno Corn

1 16 oz bag frozen corn
1 can diced jalapenos (or 1 fresh jalapeno, diced)
1/2 cup butter
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
Pour all ingredients into a small slow cooker. Heat on high until cream cheese and butter are melted. Stir until smooth.
Serve hot as a stand-alone side dish or with tortilla chips. Alternately, this dish can be baked in the oven at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until hot.

Sometimes the simplest recipes are the best. This one is straight up delicious and sure to be a real crowd pleaser at your next barbecue. Do you have any fun plans for Labor Day?
