Bombs
Pillowy soft dinner rolls are stuffed with your favorite meat and cheese fillings for a delicious family favorite dinner.
Dough
- 3 TBSP sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 1/2 cups flour approximately
- 2 tsp. yeast
- 1 1/8 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup butter melted
- 1 egg
To Make The Dough
Add all ingredients to the bowl of a stand mixer.
Use the dough hook attachment to mix the dough on low for approximately five minutes, until the dough starts to pull away from the sides of the bowl. I usually add 3 cups of flour at first, then I test the dough and add more until it feels right--not sticky, not too dry/firm, just nice and soft.
Cover and let raise 1 hour.
To Make The Bombs
Divide the dough into 12-15 pieces.
Shape and flatten each dough piece into approximately a 5 inch circle.
Place the filling of your choice in the center of the circle.
Bring the edges of the circle up and around the filling and pinch together until the filling is sealed inside.
Place seam side down on a baking sheet.
Cover the filled and shaped balls with a clean dish towel and let raise for 15-20 minutes in a warm place.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
