Since July 4th falls on a Sunday this year, I decided to sew a dress for my little girl to wear to church and to the parade the next day. I went back to my favorite pattern, Simplicity #5695. I love this pattern because it is simple to sew, it has sleeves, and doesn’t require buttons or a zipper.
I got the fabric at Joanns on sale for $1.99/yard. If you want to make this dress, you would need 1/2 yard blue, 1/2 yard red, and only 1/4 to 1/3 yard white. You would also need a package of small elastic.

I LOVE it!!! super cute! I totally picked up that pattern (also for $.99) awhile ago thanks to your fabulous recommendation… but I haven't used it yet and totally wish I had thought of something like this! I guess there is still pioneer day for the LDS right? We'll see. LOVE it!!
Way to go. She looks so cute in it!
