These free printable Christmas candy box wrappers are a fun little DIY gift for the holidays. Tie a bottle brush tree on top with ribbon or twine for the perfect finishing touch.
If you’re looking for a quick and easy little Christmas gift for your kids to give to their friends or to hand out to your students or neighborhood kids, these free printable Christmas cars are sized perfectly to fit around a theater box of candy. The cute car is on the front and it says, “Merry Christmas” on the back. Tie a bottle brush tree on top with a bit of bakers twine and you’ve got a darling Christmas gift. And the best part is that you can make a whole bunch in just a matter of minutes.
Materials Needed
- Free Printable (Download at the bottom of this post)
- White Cardstock
- Ribbon, String or Bakers Twine
- Bottle Brush Trees
Instructions
Step 1: Download the files below. There’s a red car and a green car. Load your printer with white cardstock, open the files on your computer, then send them to print. They will look like this:
Step 2: The arrows on the outside of the usable area are to help you score fold lines in the correct places. Line up a ruler with the arrows, then use a bone tool or knitting needle to make a gentle depression (score line) in the paper.
Scoring helps you get super crisp fold lines. You can totally skip this step and just wrap the paper around the box, but I think it makes the finished product look more clean.
Step 3: Cut along the solid gray lines using scissors or a paper trimmer.
Step 4: Fold down all the score lines, then wrap the paper around the candy box and secure with double sided tape on the bottom where the two flaps overlap.
Step 5: Tie a bottle brush tree on top using ribbon or twine.
And that’s it! Done-zo! Aren’t they sooooooo cute? I love them so much and I think my kids’ friends will be thrilled to receive them. Hurray for easy + cute + yummy Christmas gifts!

Link at the bottom isn’t working?
So sorry! Fixed it. Thank you for the heads up!
Thank you so much for these free printables! I love your projects! In spite of owning a Silhouette Cameo for a few years, I’m embarrassed to admit that I still haven’t learned how to use it! So, I greatly appreciate whenever you include jpeg files with your projects! I’m in my late 60’s & didn’t grow up with technology so I’m intimidated by it! But, one of my goals in the upcoming New Year is to master learning to use my Cameo & not fear it! I hope you & your family are safe & well! Have a very safe Merry & Blessed Christmas & a much brighter & safe New Year!
Adorable! What size box of candy fits with this printout?
This is sized to fit perfectly on those boxes of candy that you sometimes see at movie theaters. You can buy the boxes at the dollar store, Walmart and pretty much every grocery store. All the different types of candies are the same sized box.
Any tips on where to find the bottle brush trees? Super adorable gift idea! Hoping to replicate it for my neighbors.
Every craft store has bottle brush trees and some people have even gotten lucky and found them at dollar stores. Walmart and Target also carry them.
What size are the bottle trees?
About 3 inches.
Love the Christmas Candy Box Wrappers! My family had a VW Van like this one in blue and white. What wonderful memories. I tried to download them but had no luck. I think the link might not be working again? Thank you for the sweet memories you brought to mind, and Thank you or sharing your time and talents!
