Make your own custom tea towel for fall using glitter heat transfer vinyl and a Silhouette machine.
Fall crafting has commenced! I’m making all of my fall crafts now so that I can enjoy them from now until Thanksgiving. I want lots of time to enjoy these pretty projects!

Today I’m sharing a step-by-step tutorial and free cut file for making a custom tea towel. It says, “Pumpkin Spice Season” and is made from the prettiest glittery heat transfer vinyl from Expressions Vinyl. They sell two colors of gold glitter HTV. The picture below shows “Old Gold” on top and “Gold” on the bottom.
Step 3: Insert the HTV into the machine with the shiny side down, then send the design to be cut. The photo below shows the HTV being cut with no mat, but I usually use one just to be on the safe side.
Step 5: Center the design on your tea towel, cover with a piece of clean paper or heat transfer cover sheet and iron with firm pressure at 325°F for 10-15 seconds.
I think you’ll be amazed at how sparkly this HTV is in person. It’s so pretty!
Looking for more heat transfer vinyl project ideas? Expressions Vinyl challenged a group of bloggers to create a fun HTV project and you can help me win by voting for my project! You may not know this about me, but I’m super competitive. haha.
But the best part is that when you vote, you’ll be entered to win a $50 gift card to Expressions Vinyl so you can make your own cool projects!

That gold glitter transfer is just PERFECT for the tea towel! Curious to know though if you actually use this pretty tea towel how the gold glitter holds up with use and wash?

I actually haven't washed it yet… it's still sitting in my craft room. 😜 But I have heard that the glitter washes well. You have inspired me to get the towel out and use it, so I'll let you know once I wash it!
