Create a whimsical and colorful Christmas tree decorated with a rainbow of giant paper flowers.
This month as part of the Wayfair Homemakers program, they challenged us to share a Christmas window. I immediately thought of the window in my girls’ shared room. I knew it would be the perfect place to create a little holiday magic.
I ordered a white pencil Christmas tree from Wayfair. It looks like the exact one I ordered is currently out of stock, but they have lots of other great trees that are similar. I’ve wanted a white tree for years now and I love this one. It glows so brightly at night!
For the decorations, I followed this tutorial for creating giant paper flowers. I added a loop of twine on the back of each flower to hang it on the tree.

Now, I must admit… I got so excited about decorating the tree that I ended up keeping the window decor pretty simple. I just hung a colorful garland made of paper circles all sewn together into a long chain.
I also added the same paper circle garland to the tree to tie the space together.
What can I say? The paper flower tree is definitely the star of this show!
I worked on the decorations when my girls weren’t home and they were absolutely thrilled when I surprised them with it. Isn’t it just about the most cheerful tree you ever did see? I hope it fills their heads with the sweet dreams of Christmas.
