Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend. I spent it packing and eating large amounts of Halloween candy. What? I’m stressed, okay?
I’m revisiting an old post today. It was one of the first posts on this old blog to really go viral. It’s the super easy, super handy, super cute pour spout mason jar! I had to make a new one anyway, so I took new, better pictures and decided to repost.
Isn’t it cute? And oh, so functional! These babies can be used to store many different dry kitchen ingredients: sugar, salt, baking soda, baking powder, yeast, cornmeal. It makes measuring out amounts so much easier! And just imagine how much cuter your pantry or cupboards would be if you had these adorable pour spout mason jars lined up on the shelf instead of the ugly cartons from the store. I mean, come on. You gotta love it!
Here’s how you make your very own…
You will need:
Step 1: Cut the top off a salt container. Trace a canning lid on the cardboard and cut it out.
Step 2: Add decorative paper, if desired. You know you want to.
Step 3: Glue the paper to the cardboard from the salt container.
Step 4: Screw the new cardboard lid onto the jar with the metal ring.
