Christmas Home Tour

Hi friends! I've been putting this post off because I keep needing "just one more shot" to be ready to post a full Christmas home tour. But today I realized that I kind of have a deadline... you know... nobody wants to see a Christmas home tour in January. So I'm posting with what I've got and not waiting another second. Grab a mug of cocoa and come on a tour of my home with me!

Let's start on the front porch. I bought the wooden sled decoration at Joann and painted/stained it. I also made the sign. I found a board in the garage that was the right size, painted the background white, then painted on the red letters. So easy.

We cut down a few trees in our yard this summer, so I just grabbed a few different stumps and put them on the porch with the wooden ski poles I made (tutorial).

This large vintage metal watering can is on the other side of the door. I added a few poinsettias and pine brances and I absolutely love it!

The next stop in our tour is the entryway. I already posted all about it HERE, but here's my favorite photo of the decor:

Next we head to the living room upstairs. You've already seen the "pretty" tree ...

I put my nativity set on the top of the piano with a berry and pine cone garland.

I love how this shepherd is tenderly holding his sheep.

I kept the decor in the kitchen pretty minimal, just adding touches of greenery here and there.
Like on the fruit basket...

in my wooden trough box on the dining table:

and in the corner hutch:

My favorite space is definitely the fireplace. I love how the mantel decor turned out and nothing beats snuggling on the couch watching Christmas movies with the twinkle lights turned on and a roaring fire going in the wood burning fireplace. See more mantel photos HERE.

I added Christmas touches to the media cabinet too since this is where we'll be opening presents on Christmas morning.

I used things I already had and just tried to group them together to make them work.

The vintage red metal tractor is from my husband's grandma. I made a little cart to go behind it so that I could use it as a Christmas decoration. The wire basket is full of Christmas books for the kids to read.

I made a nativity set from white cardstock that I cut with my Silhouette machine. I love, love, love how it turned out!

Here's a little close-up:

The last third of the media cabinet holds more little Christmas trinkets, but I like how they pop with the gray background.

And here's one last photo for you. This is one of my favorite Christmas ornaments. My husband gave it to me when we were newlyweds, so it's sentimental.

Thanks for coming on this little tour with me. I'm excited to spend Christmas in our cozy home and enjoy time with my husband and kids. We've got lots of fun activities planned for the next two weeks and I am so excited! Merry Christmas, sweet friends!
